Plan ahead to reduce stress in case you or a loved one contracts COVID-19.
Planning ahead can reduce stress if you or a loved one contracts COVID-19. Being prepared maximizes your chances of keeping it in check.
Follow these steps to help contain the spread of COVID-19.
1) Develop a plan and be prepared to activate it: what would you and your family need if someone in your household is diagnosed with COVID-19 and required to isolate? Things to consider: food, medication, entertainment, how to keep others in your household safe, etc.
2) If you are feeling sick - get tested; while you await results, stay home.
3) If you test positive for COVID-19, isolate yourself for 10 days, including from your family members to the extent possible, and even if you don't have symptoms.
4) If you have COVID-19, practice appropriate safety precautions when interacting with members of your household. It may seem odd, but it will help protect them from getting the virus.
With proper planning, we can slow the spread of COVID-19 together!
