Mid Rivers Mall Drive Corridor Project Entering Final Phase as Traffic Will Be Pushed to East Side of Road
The final phase of the Mid Rivers Mall Drive Corridor project has begun and will proceed, weather permitting, until completed in July 2019.
Drivers should remain on the lookout for lane reductions on Mid Rivers Mall Drive at the Dardenne Creek Bridge just south of Cottleville Parkway.
There will be one through-lane southbound on Mid Rivers Mall Drive and one through-lane and one left turn lane in the northbound direction. Traffic will be pushed to the east side of the roadway as soon as weather allows. This will allow the contractor to complete the bridge approach slab replacement, bridge deck repair and trail installation on the west side of the roadway.
Drivers are asked to use the “zipper merge” technique to move more smoothly through the project area. Here is information on the zipper merge: https://www.modot.org/zipper-merge.
Drivers should use caution, slow down and observe all traffic signs when traveling though work zones.
The $2.35-million project on Mid Rivers Mall Drive will improve safety and reduce congestion at Cottleville Parkway. When completed, it will have a center left-turn lane and a dual left-turn lane from northbound Mid Rivers Mall Drive onto westbound Cottleville Parkway and from eastbound Cottleville Parkway onto northbound Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
